Harnessing Community Input: Presentation of PRA Tools Result
The PRA Team, led by Renith Rosales, presented the Household Head Inventory to the General Assembly of Punta Buri on March 17, 2019. A noteworthy 68.6% of households attended, and the assembly yielded positive outcomes, including a generous land donation for public use. Mrs. Mildred De Los Reyes expressed her intent to donate land for a public market and playground, showcasing the community’s engagement and commitment.
Community Empowerment through Participatory Resource Appraisal (PRA) Training
In a bid to empower local communities, a Participatory Resource Appraisal (PRA) Training took place at NIPSC, Ajuy, Iloilo, on November 17-18, 2018. Attended by 35 participants from Barangay Pedada, Barangay Punta Buri, and Barangay San Antonio, this training aimed to enhance the capacity of the barangay council and CSOs in resource assessment and community planning.
Sustainable Integrated Area Development (SIAD) 3.0 Orientation: Fostering Community Engagement
The Executive Assistant Director took the initiative to conduct a Sustainable Integrated Area Development (SIAD) 3.0 orientation at LGU Pedada’s barangay hall on July 17, 2018. This informative session was attended by 22 participants from the barangay council and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). The goal was to familiarize the local community with SIAD 3.0, setting the stage for collaborative and sustainable development efforts.
