“Feminism isn’t about making women strong. Women are already strong. It’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength.”

G.D. Anderson

The Solution Ecosystems Activator (SEA) Inc. recently organized a program orientation and meeting at Brgy. Cabugao, Municipality of New Lucena. The meeting aimed to introduce SEA Inc.’s advocacy and programs attended by 28 empowered women on March 8, 2024. Specifically, SEA Inc. discussed the Integrated Participatory Accountability Transparency Towards Sustainable Integrated Area Development (IPAT-SIAD) Governance Program.

In today’s world, the empowerment of women is a crucial and pressing issue that requires attention and action. Organizing women effectively is a powerful way to amplify their voices, address their needs, and drive positive changes in our society. By harnessing their collective strength and energy of women, we can create a more inclusive, equitable, and better world for all.

During the meeting, the women initiated the organization of its women’s association, which they named “HUBON BABAYINHON.” This association aimed to promote women’s empowerment by uniting them and centering the voices and experiences of marginalized women. They elected their responsible officer, Mrs. Amy Ordoyo, as the president of the association. HUBON BABAYINHON is expecting to become a fundamental aspect of being the voice of the women in Brgy. Cabugao in the future. As Mrs. Ordoyo, the president of the association, said, “We, the women of Brgy. Cabugao has given us the chance to be the voice of our fellow women. Let us unite and prove that women can raise their names not as individuals but as a group. Women’s empowerment leads to creativity and inclusivity in the community.”
