SEA, Inc. is thrilled to announce the expansion of its Integrated Participatory Accountability and Transparency Towards Sustainable Integrated Area Development (IPAT-SIAD) program to two barangays in the Municipality of Sta. Barbara. This move marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to promote good governance and sustainable development at the grassroots level. Sta. Barbara, chosen for its accessibility and exemplary government services, is poised to benefit greatly from this initiative, particularly with the strong support from our funding partner, Lifebank Foundation.
A Promising Partnership in Duyan-Duyan
The first Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony occurred on June 24, 2024, in Barangay Duyan-Duyan. The atmosphere was charged with optimism and enthusiasm as both parties expressed their commitment to fostering a fruitful collaboration. Punong Barangay Carlo Cabigayan warmly welcomed SEA, Inc., highlighting the immense potential of this partnership.
“We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity,” said Cabigayan. “I encourage all BSPO, BNS, BHW, Tanods, and especially the Barangay Council to engage with IPAT-SIAD for skills training and other capability-building programs. This partnership will undoubtedly enhance our community’s growth and development.”
Building Bridges in Buyo
Four days later, on June 28, 2024, Barangay Buyo followed suit with its own MOA signing ceremony. Punong Barangay Celso Sonalan echoed the sentiments of his counterpart in Duyan-Duyan, expressing his gratitude and high hopes for the partnership.
“Our barangay faces significant challenges, particularly with our water system,” Sonalan remarked. “Through this partnership with SEA, Inc. and the IPAT-SIAD program, I am confident we will find effective solutions and achieve remarkable success in the coming years.”
