On June 11, 2024, the Collective IPAT-SIAD Team (CIT) of New Lucena gathered at Baganihan Hall for their monthly meeting. The event brought together 24 participants, including the LGU Department Heads, business sectors, and civil society organizations, all eager to discuss the progress and plans of the IPAT-SIAD program.
Solution Ecosystems Activators (SEA), Inc. led the meeting, sharing both ongoing and upcoming activities of the IPAT-SIAD program. Their updates highlighted a variety of initiatives, from PRA training in Brgy. Pasil to First Aid Training in Brgy. Cabugao and Brgy. Bita-og Gaja. Other key activities included project proposal workshops, poultry management orientation, and the formation of the People’s Council, showcasing the diverse efforts being made to uplift the community.
SEA, Inc. also introduced an exciting new partner: Rezbin, a waste management advocacy group led by COO Ms. Mica Martirez. Rezbin is on a mission to make recycling as easy as possible. Their technology ensures plastics are recycled properly, preventing them from ending up in landfills or oceans. Plus, they’re making it fun—soon, anyone who donates plastics through their app can earn points redeemable for rewards. “Rezbin’s goal is to have a drop-off point within five minutes of everyone,” said Ms. Martirez, emphasizing convenience and community involvement.
Vice Mayor Isabelo Acollador expressed his gratitude for Rezbin’s innovative approach, calling it “a big blessing” for the community. He noted that while rewards and incentives are great motivators, it’s the collaborative spirit between Rezbin and the LGU that will truly drive change in New Lucena.
With the support of Vice Mayor Acollador and the collective efforts of the CIT, the meeting ended on a high note, setting the stage for continued progress in the months to come.
