The Inner Conditioning Workshop (ICW) program has marked a transformative journey for the barangay officials and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in New Lucena. This week, they reflect on their experiences and growth, each story woven with wisdom and humor, highlighting their collective responsibility as engaged citizens.
Merlinda shared, “Since participating in ICW, I have learned about the essence of life as a functional citizen. It has enhanced my personality, particularly in maintaining my self-esteem. ICW inspires me to lead those passive citizens in our barangay by offering spiritual, psychological, and social guidance.”
Her journey underscores the importance of taking initiative, illustrating the profound impact ICW has had on her self-worth and leadership abilities.
Divinia expressed, “I often feel exhausted from my daily routine, but life must go on. There are moments when my program self urges me to give up, but thanks to ICW, I am aware of my program self, and I push through. That’s why I continue to sustain our livelihood.”
Divinia’s reflection emphasizes that although life can be tiring, perseverance is essential, and ICW helps keep that flame alive.
Kelly noted, “I’m doing well. Since attending ICW, I have a better understanding of myself and my life. I always strive to think positively. No matter the challenges I face, I know God is there, providing for my needs. So even when I feel tired, I carry on because God will always provide.”
Her words inspire others to maintain a positive mindset amidst life’s adversities, reinforcing faith in divine providence.
Aida remarked, “Now I realize that not everything is within our control. To find peace of mind, one must let go. Life is fleeting, and nothing is permanent.”
Aida’s insight imparts the wisdom of releasing control for emotional well-being and tranquility.
Elsa reflected, “I have learned that despite what others say, we should do what we can for the betterment of the barangay. From ICW, I understand that God’s will always prevail, regardless of our plans or attempts to control outcomes. If it is not meant to be, it will not happen.”
Her thoughts serve as a powerful reminder that community contributions are what truly matter.
Liza shared, “I have come to understand that everything has its time; not every moment is good, nor is every moment bad. So regardless of the difficulties, we must keep moving forward because our time will eventually arrive. Our God has perfect timing.”
Liza encourages patience and persistence, trusting in life’s timing.
Christine reflected, “I continue to strive for my family and community. As ICW teaches, what is the value of your wealth if you lack purpose? I realized that money cannot give meaning to your life; fulfilling God’s will does.”
Her experience highlights that true purpose and meaning stem from serving others rather than from material wealth.
Ellen concluded, “This week, I learned to move forward and embrace new beginnings for my future goals. I realized that every new start is a chance to grow. It’s like turning the page, carrying the lessons learned without repeating old patterns. You have the opportunity to learn new things, meet new people, and discover parts of yourself that you never knew existed.”
Ellen’s reflection emphasizes the importance of embracing change and personal growth.
