In a newly associations the journey is both daunting and exhilarating. These fledgling groups face a delicate balance of challenges and opportunities as they strive to carve out their place in their communities. Entering organizational development (OD) training—a crucial catalyst for laying the groundwork for long-term success.
Recently, Solution Ecosystems Activator (SEA), Inc. undertook a significant initiative, spearheaded by the insightful guidance of Mr. Romeo Lanciola, to empower multiple newly-formed associations in Iloilo. This Organizational Development (OD) training workshop, held last July 12, 2024, at RHU, New Lucena, Iloilo, aimed to equip these associations, including the Bilidan Farmers Association (BFA) and the Calumbuyan Women Association (CWA), Jelicuon Este Women Association (JEWA), Bita-og Gaja Rural Workers Association (BIGRUWA),Hugpong Kababaehan sang Janipaan Oeste Association, Hubon Babayenhon sang Cabugao Association, Pasil Women Association (PWA), 4H Club Pasil, Damires Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (DATODA) , Cabilauan Multi-Sectoral Workers Association (CABIMSWA) and Damires Water System Association (DAWASA) with essential tools for growth.

At OD lies the cultivation of strong leadership, efficient processes, and a cohesive organizational culture. As Mr. Lanciola aptly put it during the workshop, “Effective leadership isn’t just about steering the ship; it’s about empowering others to see the horizon.” Participants resonated deeply with this sentiment, expressing gratitude for the newfound insights. One member remarked, “Para mas mapauswag pagid ang amon organisasyon,” highlighting their eagerness to apply their learnings to elevate their organizations. Tools of Transformation: Knowledge Applied Central to the success of any association is a shared vision and objective. Through OD training, these groups not only clarify their goals but also fortify their internal structures, for instance, embraced their roles with renewed clarity, stating, “We learn what are our rules and function as an officer and member of the association.”

By investing in these workshops, associations position themselves not just to survive but to thrive amidst change. As one participant reflected, “As a newly organized association, we are going to apply what we’ve learned from this training,” demonstrating a commitment to sustainable growth.
