In Sibagat, participants of the Inner Conditioning Workshop (ICW) program have shared profound insights on the theme of gratitude and their connection to a higher self. Their reflections highlight how recognizing divine gifts in everyday life shapes their relationships with others and themselves.

Salvador Pagios from the Business Group of Sibagat eloquently expresses the essence of Thanksgiving, stating, “The day of Thanksgiving is about us. If our relationship with God is healthy, we are thankful for everything He gives us without our deserving it.” Salvador emphasizes the importance of acknowledging creation as a gift from God, noting, “Our life, our health, everything we have, our family, everything comes from God.”

This perspective not only reinforces the importance of gratitude but also highlights a central tenet of ICW—interdependence. Understanding that their achievements are secondary to the blessings they receive fosters a sense of humility and purpose within the community.

Salvador’s reflection invites participants to appreciate the simple yet profound gifts of life, such as “air to breathe” and “the earth that exists.” This gratitude cultivates a deeper connection to the community, as it encourages individuals to recognize their role within the larger tapestry of creation. By embracing this perspective, Salvador and his peers are reminded of their responsibility to nurture and care for the world around them.

Nerissa Nerio, representing the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) of Sibagat, shares a similar sentiment, echoing Salvador’s thoughts: “If our relationship with God is healthy, we are thankful for everything He gives us without our deserving it.” Nerissa reinforces the idea that “our merit, our achievement is secondary,” a realization that cultivates a collective spirit of gratitude among community members.

Her reflection reflects a core ICW aspect: community engagement, emphasizing the importance of supporting one another and celebrating shared blessings.

Both Salvador and Nerissa’s insights emphasize the transformative power of gratitude in their daily lives. By acknowledging their dependence on God for sustenance and support, they develop a deeper sense of connection to their higher selves and each other. This recognition not only uplifts their spirits but also inspires them to contribute positively to their community.

Through their reflections, the participants from Sibagat demonstrate that gratitude is a powerful catalyst for personal and collective growth. By embracing the gifts of creation and acknowledging their dependence on a higher power, they cultivate a sense of purpose and responsibility. As they navigate the challenges of everyday life, their stories inspire others to reflect on their blessings and recognize the interconnectedness that binds them all. In the spirit of ICW, they remind us that gratitude not only enriches individual lives but also strengthens the bonds within the community.
