Our partner Barangay Officials gathered today, not for a typical meeting, but to tune up their leadership engines at the Orientation and Workshop on the Role of Good Governance.

With Ms. Fauve P. Pedriña from the ISAT U Main Campus holding the chalk, the session turned into a masterclass on ethical leadership and accountability. It wasn’t just a lecture; it was a pit stop for public servants ready to get back on the road with better performance and clearer direction.

The Classroom Experience

Ms. Pedriña didn’t just talk about theories; she proved that “good governance” isn’t just a buzzword to be thrown around during elections. Instead, she broke it down as a daily practice—the oil that keeps the gears of our communities running smoothly.

The atmosphere was one of active learning. Consider these officials officially “schooled” in the best way possible. They swapped their usual administrative hats for student caps, absorbing lessons on:

  • Ethical Leadership: Doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.
  • Accountability: Owning decisions and being transparent with constituents.
  • Service with Precision: Moving beyond “pwede na” (good enough) to “academic precision” in public service.

Ready to Lead

The session concluded with a renewed sense of clarity. The officials aren’t just returning to their barangay halls; they are returning equipped with new tools and a fresh perspective.

They are ready to lead not just with authority, but with the kind of academic precision and ethical grounding that builds trust. The engines are tuned, the road is clear, and the journey toward better governance has just hit high gear.
