For the LGU employees of New Lucena who completed the Inner Conditioning Workshop (ICW), the experience was both eye-opening and transformative. As they juggle multiple tasks—finalizing budgets, attending meetings, and managing personal lives—the ICW taught them how to find balance, reduce stress, and achieve a sense of fulfillment in both work and daily life. Here’s what they had to say about their journey towards becoming their higher selves.

A Balancing Act: Finding Time Amid a Busy Schedule

For many in the LGU, the most significant challenge is managing their time efficiently. With the 2025 budget preparation in full swing, one participant shared how they learned to adjust:

“I’m finalizing the budget for 2025, and there are so many intervening activities. It’s a balancing act, but I’ve learned not to bring work home and still make time for family. Sunday mass is non-negotiable!”

This lesson of balance—between work commitments and personal time—was a key takeaway from the ICW. It emphasized the importance of setting boundaries, making sure that while work can be demanding, family and personal well-being are equally prioritized.

Less Stress, More Enjoyment

Despite the hectic schedule, the ICW graduates expressed how their mindset had shifted towards enjoying their work rather than feeling overwhelmed. One participant, who deals with numbers daily, remarked:

“Honestly, it’s not stressful. I’m just enjoying my task of dealing with numbers. ICW helped me see that it’s all about perspective.”

This sense of enjoyment stems from the lessons they learned during the workshop, where they were taught how to embrace their work with a lighter heart and a clearer mind. By focusing on the positives, they’ve found that even the most challenging tasks can become more fulfilling.

Inner Peace Through Daily Prayer

The ICW also emphasized the importance of spiritual practices, whether through meditation, prayer, or quiet reflection. For one participant, this nightly ritual has become their source of inner peace and strength:

“Every night, I make sure to pray. It’s my way of releasing the day’s tension and finding peace before I sleep.”

This nightly prayer not only calms the mind but also serves as a reminder of the importance of inner conditioning in their daily routine. By maintaining a connection to their higher self through spirituality, they’ve found a deeper sense of calm and focus.

Adjusting and Prioritizing: No Time for Stress

While balancing work and family remains a challenge, the ICW graduates from New Lucena have learned how to prioritize without sacrificing their well-being. One employee shared how they’ve mastered the art of adjusting their schedule while ensuring family remains a priority:

“Sometimes, I have less time for my family, but I make sure that when I’m home, it’s all about them. No work, just family time.”

This ability to compartmentalize and focus on what matters most is a direct result of the ICW. By learning how to set boundaries, they’ve achieved a healthier work-life balance, allowing them to be fully present both at work and at home.

Achieving a Higher Self Through Balance and Prayer

The ICW graduates from New Lucena are living proof that it’s possible to thrive in both personal and professional life when you have the right mindset and tools. They’ve learned to enjoy their tasks, maintain balance, and stay connected to their higher selves through prayer and reflection. As one participant aptly put it:

“ICW taught me that it’s not about having more time—it’s about making the most of the time you have. And when you’re grounded in prayer and balance, you can handle anything.”

Through the Inner Conditioning Workshop, the LGU employees of New Lucena have not only improved their work performance but also deepened their connections and sense of inner peace. They are walking examples of how the lessons from ICW can lead to a more balanced, fulfilling life—both at the office and at home.
