The Collective IPAT-SIAD Team (CIT) of New Lucena had their monthly meeting on March 19, 2024, at Baganihan Hall composed of 24 participants from the Municipality of New Lucena- LGU Department Heads and CSOs. Solution Ecosystems Activators (SEA), Inc. shared the program updates from February to the present. The Municipal Coordinator, Ms. Rosanna P. Constantino likewise announced the official approval of the “PAKBET and More” project proposal of the Cabilauan Farmers Association (CFA) with a P1.3 million peso grant from the LifeBank Foundation. She then encouraged other CSOs to explore different agencies including the LifeBank Foundation for any feasible project that would benefit the organization and the community as well.

On-going and upcoming activities of the IPAT-SIAD program are also presented, and the support of department heads and staff, specifically the technical support of Mr. Frederick Erick Paniza as resource person during the Skills Training on Poultry Management recognized by the office of Municipal Planning and Development through Engr. John Suelo and Mr. Von Ryan Somblingo by providing a copy of the municipal map for the spot mapping in the six barangays. Similarly, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) through Mr. Kenneth Sobremisana would facilitate the conduct of first-aid training on March 26, 2024, at Barangay Janipa-an Oeste. Ms. Constantino gratefully acknowledged the supportive CIT members for the implementation of the IPAT-SIAD program especially the leadership of Mayor Liecel Mondejar-Seville and Vice Mayor Isabelo Acollador, who supported the ongoing creation of the People’s Council.

Mr. Wilfredo Labaro, the CIT Chairperson expressed his appreciation to the IPAT-SIAD Program team and is hoping indeed to organize the people’s council in the Municipality of New Lucena so that CSOs would have representation in the Sangguniang Bayan. He also commended the Cabilauan Farmers Association for their approved project proposal. He also assured the CSO members that SEA, Inc. through the IPAT-SIAD program is willing to assist them through training and other capacity-building activities to create more empowered and strong organizations in New Lucena.
