The Inner Conditioning Workshop (ICW) has left a profound mark on the lives of the Local Government Unit (LGU) participants from New Lucena. Three weeks after the workshop, their reflections are filled with gratitude, wisdom, and lessons that continue to shape both their personal and professional lives. Through meditation, breathing exercises, and mindful practices, they’ve gained tools to navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience.

One participant shared, “I’ve made it a habit to maintain my breathing exercises, especially before bed. It helps me stay calm, and when stress comes my way, I meditate to overcome it.” This simple yet powerful practice has become a key tool for many participants in managing the daily stresses that life brings.

Another participant reflected on the trials they faced, admitting that they were close to giving up. However, they recalled the lessons from Bulacan during the ICW and found renewed strength. “Why should I give up? These are just trials, and I am on a higher path, the Lakaran journey of my life.” This reminder of their purpose and resilience became their anchor in times of difficulty.

The ICW also instilled a deep sense of mindfulness and awareness of one’s actions. “Now, I am more conscious of my actions. I think first before deciding and taking steps. I take things slowly and avoid stress whenever I can,” one participant shared.

This newfound sense of deliberation has helped them navigate their roles in the LGU with more intention and clarity. For many, one of the most valuable lessons was learning to filter out the noise of daily life. “I don’t entertain rumors anymore,” another participant expressed. Instead, they focus on prioritizing tasks and maintaining a balance between work and family life. “I always make sure to have family time, to maintain good relationships with my co-workers, and to calendar my tasks, prioritizing what is urgent.”

These practical shifts have helped the LGU participants manage their work-life balance more effectively. “My learnings from ICW helped a lot both at work and in my personal life. Shifting focus, breathing, and thinking of gratitude and positive thoughts have really helped me manage my emotions, especially anger and frustration,” one reflected. They acknowledge that neither they nor their circumstances are perfect, but the practices from ICW have taught them to recognize their blessings and appreciate life in all its complexity.

The journey of self-awareness and growth that began at ICW continues to influence how these participants engage with their communities and families. They’ve learned to pause, reflect, and approach challenges with patience and positivity. As one participant wisely put it, “This habit made me realize how blessed I am and how amazing life is.”

In the end, the ICW experience has been more than just a workshop—it’s become a way of life. The participants have embraced the idea that every challenge is an opportunity for growth and that maintaining a positive mindset, grounded in gratitude, is the key to thriving in both their personal and professional lives. They carry these lessons forward, not just for themselves, but as leaders in their communities, setting an example for others to follow. This reflective journey highlights the power of mindfulness, spiritual growth, and resilience. The ICW has given these LGU participants the tools to not only survive but to thrive amidst life’s uncertainties, with the unwavering belief that they are on the right path—stronger, wiser, and more connected to their higher selves.
