Every great story starts with a single spark — and in Brgy. Dawis, New Lucena, that spark has just been lit.

The Appreciative Inquiry Workshop, facilitated by SEA Inc., began its two-day journey not only with laughter and curiosity, but with a shared intention: to rediscover what makes the community of Dawis thrive.

Day 1: From Conversations to Connections

The first day unfolded like a sunrise — gentle, hopeful, and full of promise.

Through stories, reflections, and collective dialogue, the people of Dawis began uncovering their strengths — the small, everyday acts that keep their community alive and resilient.

Conversations turned into connections, and connections slowly shaped a vision.

It was only the beginning, but in Dawis, beginnings already felt like breakthroughs.

Day 2: From Reflection to Action

If Day 1 was about listening, Day 2 was about leading.

The Appreciative Inquiry, Photovoice, and Strategic Planning Workshop brought together residents of all ages — each voice adding depth to the story of Dawis.

Virlyn, a young 4H Club PIO, joined her first-ever workshop and left inspired by how active the youth can be. “Nothing is impossible when everyone helps each other,” she said, urging parents to encourage their children to join next time.

Jomel, another proud 4H member, discovered confidence alongside solutions. “I used to be shy,” he shared, “but now I know my voice matters.”

Leah, a Barangay Nutrition Scholar, learned to craft a Vision and Mission — a step she once thought was beyond her reach.

Through Photovoice, she captured real issues and found strength in unity: “When we are one, no task is too hard.”

For Kagawad Lourdes, the experience was transformative. “This is a big help for us,” she said. “We now proudly have our Vision and Mission.”

And as Kagawad Bonifacio put it, “I’ve attended many seminars, but this one is different — it awakened me and our community.”

Awakening a Shared Vision

By the end of the workshop, Barangay Dawis stood united — guided by a clear Vision, Mission, and renewed sense of collaboration. What began as dialogue had become direction; what began as reflection had become resolve.

Because when communities take time to listen, to share, and to dream together — they don’t just learn; they rise.

Tuloy ang Lakaran. Tuloy ang Pagpapausbong.
