Most students spend years learning theories, solving problems, and completing requirements—but when it comes to facing a real interview, even the brightest can feel their voice shrink and their palms sweat.
That’s why the Mock Job Interview at ISAT U wasn’t just another school activity.
It was a rehearsal for the future—especially for first-year students, many of whom were stepping into an interview room for the very first time.
And this year, something special happened: Solution Ecosystems Activator (SEA) was invited as one of the interviewers, joining a lineup of reputable companies and organizations from Iloilo.
A Guiding Presence
On November 24, SEA contributed its lens of community development and people-centered engagement to ISAT U’s campus atmosphere, bringing a fresh and supportive environment for young students entering unfamiliar territory.
Leading SEA’s participation was Ms. Mary Angelic Muzones, Community Facilitator II, whose composed, insightful approach set the tone for the interviews. She didn’t just ask questions she coached, encouraged, and helped students uncover confidence they didn’t realize they had.
A total of 50 students bravely entered the interview room, representing programs across:
BSIS
BSED – Industrial Technology Major
BSHumServ
BS Bind Tech (HVAC)
Different paths, different futures
but on this day, they shared one defining milestone.
Not Just Questions A Learning Experience
This wasn’t the typical “tell me about yourself” exercise that students forget by lunchtime.
It was a genuine training ground.
One where mistakes became teaching moments,
body language became insight,
and pauses became opportunities instead of panic.
Ms. Muzones guided them through each stage teaching them how to speak with intention, carry themselves with confidence,
and transform personal experiences into meaningful answers.
Little by little, the nervousness faded.
Voices grew steadier.
And uncertain smiles became genuine ones.
This is what preparation should feel like.
Why SEA Showed Up*
SEA’s involvement wasn’t by chance—it was rooted in its core belief:
People grow best when they are empowered, supported, and given real experiences.
Just as SEA helps communities co-create solutions, it helps students co-create their future by giving them spaces to learn and build their confidence.
SEA’s participation wasn’t about grading skill—it was about nurturing potential.
Because readiness is not built overnight.
It is built in moments exactly like this.
A Glimpse of What’s Ahead
When the final interview wrapped up, something had changed.
A room that once held anxious first-year students now held young individuals who had taken their first step toward becoming professionals.
They walked out with:
- A clearer sense of direction
- A stronger grip on their strengths
- And the confidence to face real employers someday
And that’s the quiet power of the Mock Job Interview.
In the end, SEA’s presence wasn’t just about asking questions—it was about offering guidance, reassurance, and a reminder to every student:
“Your future is yours to claim—and we’re here to help you take the first step.”
