However, her unwavering belief in herself has always been her guiding light. Her journey took a significant turn when the Solution Ecosystems Activator Inc. (SEA, Inc.), under the IPAT-SIAD Program, entered her life. She was elected as the Solo Parent President of the Municipality of New Lucena and later as the Solo Parent President of the Province of Iloilo.

Nanay Divinia attended all the seminars and training sessions facilitated by SEA, Inc. One particularly impactful training was on making organic dishwashing liquid. This opportunity provided her and other solo parents with a means to achieve financial stability and even start their businesses. With the support of SEA, Inc. and Mayor Liecel Seville of New Lucena, the solo parent organization received livelihood assistance, marking a significant step towards financial independence.

There were times when Nanay Divinia felt her hope dwindling. Yet, SEA, Inc.’s programs and activities continuously bolstered her confidence and empowered her to persevere. 

She shared, “Because of SEA, Inc., I have a shoulder to lean on and a companion when I feel doubtful and lose hope. They give me the chance to share my struggles and provide advice on how to overcome them. I am so blessed that we have SEA, Inc. in New Lucena. Because of them, especially me, we are given the chance to attend different training sessions and workshops. The best workshop I attended was the ICW facilitated by them. In that workshop, I was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses and get to know myself deeper. I have strong faith in God, but because of what I experienced and learned during the ICW, my faith is much stronger. I believe that if you have strong faith, nothing is impossible.”
