As SEA, Inc.’s partner communities finish their Participatory Community Planning Workshops (SEE Link: (From the People to the People and for the People: A Participatory Approach Towards Development), they are now in the phase of putting their Sustainable Integrated Area Development (SIAD) Strategic Plans into action. To do this, their ‘blueprint’ for development must first be approved and adopted by their Brgy. Council and by the people in their communities through a general assembly.
Thus, six (6) various SIAD Strategic Plan presentations (Brgy. Council and General Assembly) took place last October 2019 among our partner communities (Brgy. Punta Buri, Brgy. Pedada, Brgy. San Antonio in Ajuy, Iloilo, Brgy. Salalcay in Cabatuan, Iloilo, Brgy. Legayada in Lambunao in Iloilo and Brgy. Rombang Belison in Antique). Through the presentations, the people and some Municipal Local Government Officials of each community were made aware of the programs and projects that will be implemented in their community.
SEA Inc. hopes that through the implementation of the SIAD Strategic Plan, this will open more opportunities to its partner communities which will lift and break the chains of poverty.
