Emphasizing the role of timely First Aid has its greatest potential to save many lives, and the absence of this knowledge will potentially lead to severe consequences in the future. We need knowledge of immediate aid to present challenges in facing unexpected emergencies and accidents in our lives. Therefore, it is important to understand that First Aid Training can help us deal with critical situations effectively and correctly.

On March 26, 2024, the Solution Ecosystems Activator Inc. (SEA Inc.) staff facilitated the First Aid Training in the Barangay Janipa-an Oeste, Municipality of New Lucena. The New Lucena Emergency Response Team (NLERT) under the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office headed by Mr. Kenneth Sobremisana initiated the training.

In line with the objective of Solution Ecosystems Activator (SEA Inc.) is increasing the knowledge of the barangay officials, barangay health workers, and barangay daycare workers to put them as frontliners of this training implementation. Teaching them first aid gives initial care who are injured or become ill before professional medical help arrives. Through this, they learned about basic bandaging, splinting, carrying, and other skills to perform in case of emergencies and accidents. With this, they will be more knowledgeable and guided in pursuing the program on becoming the new first aid response team to practice in their barangay. Indeed, one of the representatives, Barangay Kagawad Joey Alecto is impressed with the said training and finally knows how to do the proper first aid in such emergencies. Also, added by one of the Barangay Health Workers said, “She is excited about a new idea, especially on rescuing by practicing first aid.”
